Enjoy great entertainment for the entire family at the Mai Kai. Polynesian performers will thrill and excite you with a variety of traditional songs and dances from Hawaii, New Zealand, Samoa and other islands. The average cost for Diner and the show is between $47.00 and $55.00 per person depending on special coupon offers you can find on the internet. Children under 12 years old enjoy the show at no charge and there is a children's menu available. Each receives a lei and a Polynesian activity book. ONGOING: STEAM TRAIN RIDES: Tradewinds Park: 3600 W. Sample Rd., Coconut Creek, Every 3rd Complete Weekend of the Month from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Rides are available to children and adults alike, and the cost is $1.50 per ride.The trains that operate in Tradewinds Park are one-eighth life-size, or scaled at one and a half inches per foot, which makes them 11 times bigger than the typical HO scale train you might have in your home. The track gauge is seven and a half inches, a worldwide standard. Trains may be powered by steam, batteries, or small gas engines. Steam locomotives might burn coal, propane gas, or fuel oil depending on the builder.

ONGOING: FARM TOURS: Tradewinds Park: 3600 W. Sample Rd., Coconut Creek, 3rd Weekend of Each Month. Tradewinds Educational Farm was developed to reflect the history of farm activities in Broward County and to educate the public about the various types of farm animals native to the area. The Tradewinds Educational Farm is home to numerous farm animals including a cow, sheep, goats, pigs, and chickens. Other animals that can be seen at Tradewinds Park are horses, ponies, and peacocks.
